Wednesday - Friday, February 1st

Wow, buses cancelled two days in one week!!! Well I guess it couldn't have happened at a better time because I can't get rid of this cold!!!
Speech presentations were completed on Thursday, with a few standing out. An outstanding speech on "the end of the world" was completed by Holden! Another very good speech on "Karma" was completed by Ranndi. And an interesting speech on "Teenagers" was completed by Whitney. Great work! Holden and Ranndi have been chosen to represent Class 8.1 next week in the speech competition.

A reminder that Math Lesson 5.4 is homework this weekend. MEAN, MEDIAN and MODE

I must start out by saying that this has been one of the best weeks of work all year by class 8.1. Overall very focused and ready to work! Keep it up! However, the one thing that we can improve is out homework completion. Make sure to complete all of your homework as soon as you get home. Don't leave it until the end of the night when you are tired and all of the good TV shows are on.

Work from today:
1) Took up Lesson 14 in Spelling - (marks were very good overall)
2) Spelling Memory
3) Math - started Lesson 5.1 - Relating Census and Sample - HOMEWORK THIS WEEKEND - Pages 187-191, #1-7, 8 Bonus - LET'S AIM FOR 100% COMPLETION ON MONDAY!!

I am sorry that I haven't posted a blog, but I have been fighting Strep Throat for the last few days. Yesterday was the worst as I have never had such a sore throat and bad headache in my life! Today I am feeling much better and hoping to be back at school tomorrow.
