May 18th to 26th, 2009

Over the past week we have mainly been focusing on our Unit 10 Math. Lesson 10.1-10.5 were to be handed in for marking. Today we completed our Unit 10 Test. There is still many outstanding lessons to be handed in. The Unit Review for 10 may be completed for extra marks, along with the Unit Test.

We have also put a GREAT DEAL of time into our Writing Sense Picture Books. These are due by Monday, June 1st. Once again, some students have not used their time wisely in class and are very behind. This should be caught up for homework.

Finally students should have up to the end of Chapter 11 completed from Lost In the Barrens. The second quiz will be coming very soon.

Thanks

Hello Again

Just to review last weeks work, it seems as if some students are already on Summer Holidays in terms of work completion. Over the week the following assignments should have been completed and handed in!
1) Spelling Lesson 20
2) Math Unit 9 Review - Pages 410-412, #1-17, Practice Test - Page 413, #1-7, and Unit Problem - Charity Golf Tournament - Pages 414-415, #1-5
3) Picture Books in Writing Sense - completion of Storyboard Good Copy
4) Lost In The Barrens - Read up to the end of Chapter 7

Overall the work that was assigned last week is very incomplete from the majority of the class. YOU NEED TO GET CAUGHT UP VERY QUICKLY!

Also there is 6 students in the class that have not yet completed their Science Project. This is affecting your English mark, Computer Mark, and you Science mark. The assignments are almost two weeks overdue!

The school year is quickly approaching the end! Work hard and get all of your work handed in!

Thanks
MR. HICKEY
